I'm in love. Now I've been more diligent at watering the garden the fushias have flowered. I want more of them, they are so beautiful.

Psalm 80:17-19 (New International Version)
"Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand,
the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
Then we will not turn away from you;
revive us, and we will call on your name.
Restore us, O LORD God Almighty;
make your face shine upon us,
that we may be saved."

  1. They are the most fragile and delicate of flowers. I very much like them, too. I love the pinks of this one.

    Funny the effect that water has on plants. My daughter has just realised this ...

  2. You speak of watering your plants, a blogging buddy pointed out - in another context - that chlorinated water suppresses the growth of microbes (she's into pickling). I realized that quite possibly we can water our plants in a drought and they will survive but the cholorine in it suppresses necessary microbes??? But the effect of rainwater, that's something else. It makes plants explode with life.

  3. What an interesting comment, Paula. Must look into that. I only rent but a tank might be a good move.

  4. I was intrigued by PJs comment too. As you know we have recently installed a water tank and it will be used to water these beds so I can look forward an explosion of beauty.
