Work

With the sun glistening on the leaves I couldn't settle at my desk until I had popped outside to get some shots. After that I did many quiet happy hours of work.

The leaves take several weeks to go from green (see this January shot) to burgundy and then in one short week turns on this autumn fire which will pass in a matter of days, certainly as soon as a big wind blows.

Reflection:
Proverbs 12:14 (New International Version)
"From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things
as surely as the work of his hands rewards him."

  1. mmm ... MMM ... are the pathways here sawn logs?

This is so so idyllic ... does it get a wee bit chilly with all the shade?

Which direction does your house face - east?

  2. The pathway is sandstone.

Chilly in Winter yes but not because of the shade ... just because it's cold up here ... but we have central heating and working fireplaces.

The house faces west. This is afternoon sun on the tree. The sunroom I showed when I was sitting on the sofa is at the back of the house and faces North and east. There is a verandah on the South side but we rarely use it ... too cold most of the time but nice in summer.
