Pruning

I pruned the hebes a couple of months ago because they were getting leggy. I was surprised when they rewarded my efforts with another flush of flowers ... a nice addition to a rather dull winter garden.

Reflection:
John 15:2 (New International Version)
"He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful."

  1. They are gorgeous ... I know the word Hebe but not the flower ... the stem looks a bit like a lily ... I love mauve/purple/lavender in a garden ... makes it sort of oldy-worldy ... wet as down here this week ...
