Stripes

View from my husband's office, north facing window 2

This is the garden bed beneath the cherry. There are begonia in this garden bed that have staying in flower all winter.

Reflection:
Isaiah 53:5 (King James Version)
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

  2. I have "worried" the title for a while. Cannot see stipes in the image and think you might mean stripes.

    Whatever ... I see lichen.

  3. Goodness me Julie, of course it was a spelling mistake! In fact, I didn't even know stipes was a word ... looked it up and it has something to with crucifixion or flowers ... so could have been a match with this post :-)

Am going to go fix the title now before any other passer's by get confused.

Regarding lichen, I'm planning a moss series right after the windows are done.
