Warmth

View from the door in my husband's research room, east facing. You've seen this door before from this angle.

Off to the side of the office is a room that was the laundry and cool room -- austere with cold cement floors and rough brick walls. Today it's cosy with carpet, a wood burning stove and lots of academic clutter ... my husband favours this snug room over his big office!

There have been a few fushia's hanging on right through the winter.

Reflection:
James 2:15-17 (New International Version)
Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
