Fallen short

There is a magnolia up at the top gate. I remember the landscaper describing a bright future for this plant -- a bower of spring blooms arching over the driveway. Many years later it's a stunted bush, pruned by drought, and struggling to provide just 2 or 3 blooms.

Reflection:
Romans 3:23 (New International Version)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

  2. he was more a salesman than a gardener then. Annoying that, isn't it?

You say "up" at the top gate: are you on a slope then?

Julie, actually he was very much a gardener and recommended moving it when it wasn't doing well in the spot, but it was all too hard.

Yes the land has quite a significant slope from front to back.
