New life

And here's the magnolia we were looking at the other day, emerging into beautiful new life.

Reflection:
Romans 6:4 (New International Version)
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

  1. My neighbour's magnolia is in full bloom too.

  2. It is a delicate flower taken singularly. En masse, on the tree, it is yet another glory that comes out of a branch/seed/pod.

This is as close as I come to a religious statement.

  3. Yes the magnolias are looking wonderful down in Sydney at the moment. There was a time when I wasn't keen on them but I like them a lot now ... I just wish the blooms on my tree were a little less singular and more like the mult-bloomed wonders I see in everyone else's garden.
