Table by a window

Today's post is inspired by Elk's table by a window.

It is so lovely to see fresh new green leaf unfold. This window is still clean because it was on the lee side of the awful dust winds ... the air was clear by this afternoon and the winds gone ... whew.

Reflection:
Psalm 23:5 (New International Version)
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

  1. Just realised that I looked at this for a considerable length of time last night and then went to Elk's blogs ... and never came back ... way leads onto way ...

    The lines are what makes this such an engrossing image for me. Horizontal and vertical, drawing me deeper into and further around each of the elements of your composition.

    But lines not only describe the outside of something. They also enclose a space and set it apart as something quite worthy. Enclosiing their own reflection and tugging our eye up to the crowning glory of that curve.

    I save the nicest quirk for last ... I just adore that burnished brass hinge ... lying there as though in wait.
