Creatures small 4

It was two for the price of one on the chive flower. Again, I didn't see the little guy until I was doing the processing.

Reflection:
Genesis 1:25 (New International Version)
God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

I did not know that chives had flowers a bit like thistles. Do chives become bitter once they go to flower and seed? A friend said yesterday that Basil is woeful when it changes stage and she tries to keep hers regularly cut.

  2. I loved your "creature small" series. I especially like how the light hits the antena of the butterfly.

  3. Thanks Diane.

Julie, chives get flowers that are a small version of onion or garlic flowers (rather than thistles). It doesn't seem to have any effect on the taste. I keep my Basil regularly cut to boost growth so there are enough leaves to share with the snails as well a me getting a bite or two.
