Creatures small 7

But this most elusive of them all was the hover flies. It was getting hot in the sun, I was glad to have at last caught an image. It was time for a rest.

Reflection:
Genesis 2:2 (New International Version)
By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.

  1. OOh good catch! His wings are so clear and his colouring so bright.

Now to this avatar ... You did not have one at all before today ... did you? Am I that unobservant? mmm ...

Now if I am right you have chosen eucalypt blossom. Which one?

Psst ... it is quite lovely.

  2. Well spotted regarding the avatar ... I had a bit of spare time so decided to put one up but still not game to show my face. As far as I know it is a kunzea which is a shrub which grows in the bush that has clusters of these flowers which are simply beautiful when taken in close up.

  3. Good old google ... a kunzea ambigua ... whereas a kunzea baxterii looks for all intents and purposes like a bottle brush
