Waiting eagerly

My husband has planted a small vegetable patch. We are yet to see if it will actually produce anything but there is hope. One of his cucumber seedlings has a flower ... we eagerly await cucumber in the summer salad.

Reflection:
Romans 8:22-24 (New International Version)
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has?

  1. Good luck with your vegie patch. I've had nothing but trouble with mine. The cucumber flower reminds me of Donald Duck. Can you see him?

  2. Ooo goodie ... cucumbers I can eat like an apple. However, they do have a tendency to fecundity!

This is the sort of plant I was considering for that black-box suggestion that my daughter made that I was trying to describe to you. Hope to get that underway between now and Chrissie.
