Surprised

I was surprised to find this fruit on the Japanese quince which are there for their flowers. It's not fruited before, or at least I've not noticed. The web says it is nowhere near as flavoursome as culinery quince.

From the neighbour's garden
bamboo wind chimes
ring with a muffled plunk, plunk
a Japanese sound.

Reflection:
1 John 3:13 (New International Version)
Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.

  4. Speaking of fruit, I think it's almost time for me to head up to Bilpin to pick more fruit.
