Impatience

I'm getting impatient. This one isn't even an autumn leaf ... the tree drops leaves like this all year round. But I rather like the way nature puts interesting combinations together.

Reflection:
James 5:7 (New International Version)
Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.

  1. Impatient for massed colour?

As I walked down to spend time with Dad yesterday, I realised I was wading through a swathe of fallen plane tree leaves. They are annoying, because they don't so much colour as just die.

  2. Yes impatient for proper Autumn colour -- though the liquid ambers over the road are beginning to colour up enough to please me.

I'm not keen on oaks for the same reason as the plane trees.

  3. so amazing that you are
    impatiently awaiting the
    autumn color while we are
    enjoying the gorgeous
    spring color!

  4. You make beautiful shots out of simple things. You would be waiting a long time up here for Autumn colours.
