Hungry and thirsty

Unexpected 3 of 6

This plant was ill advisedly planted in a too dry part of the garden so I have watched it shrivel with each passing year.  A bit of rain and hey-presto flowers.  Another unexpected delight.

Reflection:
Psalm 107:4-6 (New International Version)
Some wandered in desert wastelands,
finding no way to a city where they could settle.
They were hungry and thirsty,
and their lives ebbed away.
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
