Prayers

At the moment our evenings are filled with the strong fragrance of the port wine magnolia lifted up on the night air .. has me thinking of prayers lifted up to our Lord.

Reflection:
Philippians 4:6 (The Message)
Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

  2. Lea, they don't seem to open any more than this. Unlike other magnolias the buds are very small but there are lot of them so they pack a real punch in terms of fragrance.

  5. Hi Susan, yes is as big as they get. They are just small buds about the size of a thumbnail.

  6. Hi Carla, I have often thought of the sounds of heaven (all that praising) and the sights of heaven (pearly gates and streets of gold) the feel of heaven (hugs from loved ones) but I've never thought of the smell of heaven ... an interesting question.
