The appointed time

The iris looks so delightfully spring but it seems it's not quite the appointed time for steady warmth. On Friday there was sleet falling outside much of the day and big falls of snow further up the mountain.

We've spent the week setting aright the problems caused by last week's lightening ... our computer network got zapped and perhaps the heating too because when I tried to put it on to beat the chill it wouldn't do a thing. Fortunately we had some wood left to burn.

Reflection:
Psalm 75:2-3 (New International Version)
You say, “I choose the appointed time;
it is I who judge with equity.
When the earth and all its people quake,
it is I who hold its pillars firm.

  5. Just like the ancients, we are at the mercy of the elements, maybe even more so.

    You have snow, lightning, troubles--but still, a flower to bring joy.
    May you have more normal weather soon.
