Long table

Sorry I didn't post last week.  We were busy with the final touches for hosting lunch for 100 or so adults and children from our city church who were in the mountains to attend the annual CMS summer school.

Our preparations included the lovely new long table my husband made for me to go on our freshly refurbished verandah.

Reflection:
Psalm 135:1-3 New International Version (NIV)
"Praise the Lord.
Praise the name of the Lord;
praise him, you servants of the Lord,
you who minister in the house of the Lord,
in the courts of the house of our God.
Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good;
sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant."

    in the presence of the Lord and His glory and your lively company.

    1. It's not all the impressive. They bring their own salads, deserts and drink and we supply the BBQ, nibbles and emergency supplies because we don't quite know each year what 'gaps' there will be until all the people arrive with their food. I just let them wander all over the house and garden, hence the need to have it nice and tidy however. That's the hard part, especially the garden.
