Give light

Autumn is like lanterns set off all around the garden.

Reflection:
Psalm 13:2-3 (New International Version)
"How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
...
Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes ..."

  1. You find the most timely psalms. And the light in the photo is so peaceful.

    1. Susan follow the psalms in sequence but am stunned to find how often something happening in the garden that very week matches a verse. It is a weekly pleasure I share with my Lord.

  2. I think you have described autumn light really well. It's my favourite time of year to photograph.

    1. I was thinking thinking about the lanterns as I watched the evening light on the maples. They were a week earlier this year even though autumn started late. If fact it is so warm now it feels like spring.

    1. I was pleased with this shot because I got them in the foreground. And yes they are healthy. I have to chop them back every summer because I would have a jungle at the front fence. In other parts of the garden they are very tall.
