Reflecting on the Psalms
Oh no. I have given up on them here, last one was eaten by cockatoos.
Oh dear. The cockatoos mostly stick to hurling down cones and twigs from the pine trees here, though a friend at church said they snip off the top of her daffodils ... I would be very upset it they did that!
They are a lovely flower. I am too far north to have them here.
I like them too now but thought them quite odd at first ... such big bold flowers on bare branches.
Any idea why?
I suspect it is suffering from root competition from the pine trees and also doesn't get enough water. The gardener who planted it painted a vision of it arching over the drive way but even after a year conceded it was never going to do that and recommended moving it.
