Washed

There were three of them enjoying a bath in the morning sun.

Reflection:
Psalm 19:13 The Message (MSG)
"Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
Keep me from stupid sins,
from thinking I can take over your work;
Then I can start this day sun-washed,
scrubbed clean of the grime of sin."

Strong

With the weather still warm for winter it's exhilarating to be out and about in the garden getting jobs done.

Reflection:
Psalm 18 The Message (MSG)
"I love you, God—
you make me strong."

Your way

It is quite amazing that I have all the leaves up so early.  I am usually sweeping then in Spring, sometimes Summer.

Reflection:
Psalm 17:4-5 The Message (MSG)
I’m not trying to get my way
in the world’s way.
I’m trying to get your way,
your Word’s way.
I’m staying on your trail;
I’m putting one foot
In front of the other.
I’m not giving up.

Pleasant places

It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday and quite warm so I spent time out in the garden sweeping fallen leaves -- there are just a few stragglers left hanging on.

Reflection:
Psalm 16:5-6 New International Version (NIV)
"Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.

Our place

The calendar ticked over to winter today but here is another shot of autumn at our place before the leaves all dropped off.

Reflection:
Psalm 15:1-4 The Message (MSG)
"God, who gets invited
to dinner at your place?
How do we get on your guest list?
“Walk straight,
act right,
tell the truth.
“Don’t hurt your friend,
don’t blame your neighbor;
despise the despicable."
