During the summer we often sit out on the verandah having morning and afternoon tea, recovering from a stint of hard work in the garden, sweeping floors or cleaning windows.

I was thrilled to capture the male satin bowerbird.

Sun glossed his inky blue feathers
and rippled as he changed pose.
A slow turn flashed sapphire
blue eyes piercing and enchanting.
Majestic masculinity.

Jude 1:25New International Version (NIV)
"to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!"
