New view

There is a new view from the stairwell window.  There was a maple tree whose bones I enjoyed each year while it was still sleeping waiting for spring to stir it to life.  But each passing season less of it awoke until it's time was gone

Now I am enjoying winter citrus and camellias in the neighbour's garden and the sawn logs await for their turn in the fire.

Reflection:
2 Corinthians 5:17 King James Version (KJV)
'Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

  1. It's difficult to part with an old tree,
    especially if you love Tolkien.
Hope all is well with you and yours!
Nothing new at my blog. Just
wanted to check in on you.

  2. We got new neighbours, and they were after a really low maintenance garden as they felled ALL their trees, which was very sad, but rather typical of our suburb. On the other hand, there's more sunlight to grow our veges.
