Here is last week's celebration candle in full flower.  This plant suffered terribly through the drought years and is struggling to return to its former vigour ... only one precious flower this year.

Other plants are just relishing the change in weather which has resulted in several surprises in the garden, I will show them after tomorrow's wordy Wednesday post as an 'unexpected' series.

    of all flowers. when my father in law
    was 'courting' my mother in law, he
    sent a fresh gardenia every morning.
