Protect me

I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the little birds migrating north for the winter.  I thought of God's protection in our vulnerability when I looked at these tiny birds. I think this is an Eastern Yellow Robin. I wonder whether we will see the Red Robins this year. Reflection: Psalm 64:1 Hear me, my God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy. Participating in Psalm Challenge #6 4

It is not a great shot but it seemed the best of those I have taken recently to suggest glory which is the theme I wanted to run with from Psalm 63.  It is such a lovely psalm I had trouble deciding which verses to select. Reflection: Psalm 63:2-3 New International Version (NIV) I have seen you in the sanctuary  and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life,  my lips will glorify you. Resting place

Autumn is in full flourish in the garden.  Plenty of leaves are finding a resting place below the trees. Reflection: Psalm 62:5-8 New International Version (NIV) Yes, my soul, find rest in God;  my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation;  he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God;  he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people;  pour out your hearts to him,  for God is our refuge.

High Rock

The reduced hours are my choice but this week they turned out to be not much reduced so no work in the garden. I am however learning to enter the day more slowly and reflectively. Reflection: Psalm 61:2 King James Version "Lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Participating in Psalm Challenge #61
