Showing posts from March, 2014

I have finished the two jobs that have been chewing up my life for the past couple of months, so this weekend relaxing  ... the gardening can wait until next week.   Reflection: Psalm 146:7 (New International Version) "The Lord sets prisoners free."

Beauty and splendour

A morning walk, the fresh washed garden gilded with sunlight. Reflection: Psalm 145:3-5 The Message (MSG) "God is magnificent; he can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to his greatness. Generation after generation stands in awe of your work; each one tells stories of your mighty acts. Your beauty and splendor have everyone talking; I compose songs on your wonders.

Fleeting shadows

The shadows are fleeting at the moment because February and March are our wettest months of the year. Reflection: Psalm 144:3-4 New International Version (NIV) "Lord, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow." Psalm 144:1-2 The Message (MSG) "Blessed be God, my mountain, who trains me to fight fair and well. He’s the bedrock on which I stand, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight, The high crag where I run for dear life"

Mucking about in the morning sun with my dinky new camera, trying to get it to focus the way I want it to. Reflection: Psalm 143:8 New International Version (NIV) "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life."

Summer has gone. Reflection: Psalm 142:3 New International Version (NIV) "When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who watch over my way."
